Prof. Dr. Seyhan HASIRCI, lecturer in the FIU School of Physical Education and Sports, participated in the New Media and Sports Journalism Education Seminar held in Antalya  between the dates of 5-8 January 2017. Dr Hasirci’s presentation concerned the role of sports writing in the development of  sports culture.

Contributions to the seminar by Turkish Cypriot sports journalists were substantial, and the seminar also included addresses from Erdoğan Arıkan, the TRT sports presenter and Gökhan Dinç Sports Director of TV24.

The Turkish Cyprus Sports Writers’ Association expressed their gratitude to FIU and looked forward to further contributions from us at future events.
